1. Treasurer report – MJW – cash on hand is $400 more than year ago. T-shirt revenue was approximately $700 higher than last year
  2. Given that there is a need to have cash in the bank for t-shirts, we agreed to have at least $3,000 in the checking account until tee shirts are purchased
  3. Donations in the past year were a total of $3,720
  4. To assure we keep the right level of cash, we agree that for the new fiscal year total donations can be $4,200
  5. Board agreed to funding as detailed below which was a balance between assuring visibility for LBKTW and supporting the scientists that support turtle research:

  1. Review of bylaws
    1. Add wording to definition of member at large
    2. Represents the general membership without being an officer and has voting privileges
    3. Specifically the purpose of the group will be to support sea turtle conservation (see changes in by laws)
  2. Beach furniture ordinance – delay may be until November meeting since no commissioner got it on the agenda, Jim Brown will get it on the agenda

  4. 2011 permit – still need to recruit individuals to be trained in, and ultimately obtain a permit. We need to keep those on the permit that can fulfill their obligations, and then support others that may be ready
